These five Arcopol France teacups and saucers, are a dainty set. The white glass is very fine, and with the added floral details and slightly scalloped edge on the saucer, are very pretty pieces.
Condition: Two of the saucers have slight markings and tiny chips which is reflected in the price, the pictures show the details. Otherwise the rest are in good vintage condition.
Dimensions: Saucer 13cm diameter. Cup 7.5cm diameter at the top, 6.5cm high.
History: From my research I can find that the Arcopol brand of tempered opal glass was introduced in 1958 by the now named Arc Group. An innovation of its time for being highly durable, non-porous, break and thermal resistant; making the brand still highly sought after today. This pattern is called Bagatelle and estimated to be made around the 1960s-1970s.
